æternity contributed to John Tromp’s Cuckoo Cycle Bounty Fund.

Cuckoo Cycle is the first graph-theoretic Proof-of-Work (PoW), and the most memory bound, yet with instant verification. As such it is an attractive new consensus mechanism to be implemented by æternity.

In order to push its further development and improvement, æternity is contributing to the Bounty Fund managed by John Tromp, the creator of the technology.

The size of the contribution is 1.3 BTC. It was sent to the Bounty Fund address, as announced here:

The Fund is used to encourage public attacks on Cuckoo Cycle, as well as to support any bounties announced on the project’s GitHub page. The goal is to make miners more confident that no-one has an unfair mining advantage and generally improve the Cuckoo Cycle code.

You can join the bounties by accessing the GitHub page. For a summary explanation of Cuckoo Cycle, you can also refer to the recently updated article by Mr. Tromp.
