How to Run Your Own æternity Middleware

æternity’s Middleware moves the load away from the node and caches the data that your æpps need.

If you are interested in building your first æpp on æternity, then you may want to consider running your own middleware. It reads the chain and records keyblocks, microblocks, and transactions in a PostgreSQL database for faster access.

We published a detailed guide on how to run the middleware locally, allowing you to gain fast access to data coming from the æternity network and implement modifications required by your own æpp project. You can access the guide here:

You can also refer to the middleware documentation in GitHub. If you have any questions, let us know in the æpps-dedicated category in the Forum.

Happy coding!
